Principal's Message

Welcome to MacFarlane Primary School.

It is my privilege to be Principal of MacFarlane Primary School. Our schools values are Respect, Responsibility ,Resilience and Pride. These are demonstrated by staff and students alike.

We work hard to develop and sustain productive partnerships with our parents/carers, local schools and the wider community.  We acknowledge that parents are the first and foremost educators of their children. We see it as a privilege to work in partnership with you, sharing the responsibilities of educating your child.

We take pride in our student well-being programs which enable students to feel safe and secure in an orderly learning environment, and facilitate high learning outcomes for all. We offer a wide range of programs including Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Physical Education and Health, HASS, Aboriginal Culture Program, and Garden Program.

Our classrooms are well equipped with interactive whiteboards and pods of computers installed in each class. A sound field system is also installed in each room and students have access to a computer lab.  The sound field systems assist our students with hearing impairment as well as reducing strain on teachers’ voices. The library is well resourced with an extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction resources, a comprehensive teachers’ resource collection along with a wide-ranging collection of readers that students use in class as well as taking home to share with older siblings and parents.

Our teachers are very caring and supportive. They build on what students know and challenge students to learn more. I welcome you to explore our website and visit our school. If you would like further information about our school and its educational opportunities for your children please contact me on (08) 8965 1700 or alternatively, please arrange a visit – our students and staff will make you feel very welcome.
